hosted
iFest 2012
at North Austin Event Center
10601 North Lamar Boulevard, Austin, Texas 78753
from 12 Noon to 6 PM.

At iFest, the large Austin crowd savored the Indian flavors from local restaurants Madras Pavilion and Taj Mahal,
satisfied their sweet tooth/teeth with yummy popsicles from Mom & Pops All-Natural Frozen Pops and with smooth and delicious drinks and bubble teas from Short N Sweet!
The crowd clothed themselves in finery from Bollywood Connection, Panache Boutique, Trends of India, Attitude Inc, and Supriya M Designs.
Interested lookers also browsed through the tables of the 22 local nonprofit groups! What a forum!
And just for fun, many artists participated in the art competition activities--making clay vases, coloring flags, sculpting peacocks, drawing mehndi, and creating rangoli. What a treat for our eyes!
Austin Mayor Lee Leffingwell attended and proclaimed the day for iFest. What an honor to have him speak on our stage for the fourth year!
We were able to raffle away a Las Vegas Vacation Package (Skypass Travel), a diamond pendant (Samuels Diamonds), a hand-carved vase (Pottery by Shikha Gupta), and Cowboys tickets (Sijo Vadakkan).
And the day culminated in exciting, fourth-annual Desi Star Talent Competition! Congratulations to all our entrants and especially to our Desi Star winners!
